What we collect, and what we do not.
This page says plainly what happens to your data when you use this site or contact us. If anything here is unclear, email hello@smartops.ae and ask.

Four situations, and that is all of them
When you visit the site
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not set cookies and does not fingerprint or track you across other websites. Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser user-agent to produce aggregate counts, and does not retain them for us in a form that identifies you.
When the page loads fonts
Our typefaces are served by Google Fonts. Loading them sends your IP address to Google. If you would rather that did not happen, a browser extension that blocks third-party font requests will prevent it, and the site remains fully readable.
When you contact us
If you email hello@smartops.ae, message our WhatsApp number, or book through Calendly, we receive whatever you choose to send: usually your name, your contact details and a description of your problem. Calendly and WhatsApp are third-party services that process that data under their own privacy policies.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your data. We do not run advertising pixels or retargeting. We do not add you to a mailing list because you visited the site. We do not use your enquiry to train AI models.
Who holds it, for how long, and under what law
Who is responsible
SmartOps, the UAE office of an allied practice with NorthSight Technologies Inc. (Ontario, Canada). For any question about your data, write to hello@smartops.ae and it reaches a principal, not a queue.
Why we are allowed to hold it
For enquiries, because you contacted us and we have a legitimate interest in replying and in keeping a record of the conversation. For analytics, because aggregate visitor counts are a legitimate interest and the data does not identify you.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as we are talking, and for up to two years afterwards so we can pick a conversation back up. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will. Analytics data is aggregate and is not tied to you.
Where it goes
Your data stays in our own accounts and the third-party services named above. We do not transfer it to anyone else. Where we build systems for clients, that client data is governed by the contract for that engagement, not by this page.
What you can ask us to do
Wherever you are, you can ask us to do any of the following, and we will answer within 30 days. These rights come from the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, and from the GDPR if you are in the UK or the EU.
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete it.
- Ask us to stop using it, or object to a particular use.
- Complain to your data protection regulator if you are not satisfied with our answer.

This site does not use cookies
There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. We do not set advertising, analytics or preference cookies. If that ever changes, this page changes first and you will be asked.
